A case of negligence and property damage has been registered against the contractor, Nana Kate. The colonies in Pimple Saudagar area are known to comprise the highest tax payers in the PCMC’s list. The acute water and power supply shortage affects around 10,000 residents living in Ginger, Lakshadweep, Rajveer Palace, Roseland and Rose Valley societies in the area.

This hasn’t been the only issue that Pimple Saudagar residents have had to deal with in the past few months. Damaged, narrow and slippery roads have made it troublesome for motorists to ply in the area, against which the residents have filed umpteen complaints with authorities. After failing to get an apt response, some residents have availed of the Right to Information Act in order to seek answers as to why, despite the PCMC-issued work order, the ditches on the roads still remain.

Do we need to have a mass protest as I see this is more than just the societies listed there, the overall condition is poor. We can see the various businesses blossoming, but no activities to do the actual work for people. The 'Mango Man' has been squeezed enough.
